Spring Inspired Drinks with MoCafe

Spring is the season of rebirth and renewal. It is a time when the world awakens from its winter slumber and bursts forth in vibrant colors and fragrances. As the temperature rises and the days grow longer, there's no better way to welcome the transition of the season than with a refreshing iced drink.

While floral-scented or seasonal fruity drinks are a popular choice, don't forget about the warm and spicy flavors of iced Chai tea or the energizing green tea goodness of a Matcha Frappe. These drinks not only capture the essence of the season but also provide a comforting transition from the colder months into the warmer weather ahead.

Speaking of spring, the most popular floral scent that comes to my mind is lavender. Though the blooming period for lavender typically starts in late spring and continues through the summer months, the sweet and soothing fragrance is often associated with early spring.

Strawberries are also seasonal fruit. They begin to bloom and produce fruit in the springtime. The bright and juicy flavor of strawberries is a perfect complement to the refreshing and renewing spirit of spring, making them a beloved seasonal treat for many people.

This time, I am going to blend the lavender into MoCafe Spiced Chai and strawberry into MoCafe Matcha Green Tea Frappe Mix.  The drink recipes are listed below.

Why MoCafé?

MoCafe is a company that produces a range of specialty beverage mixes for coffee shops, restaurants, and other foodservice businesses. Their product line includes items like frappe mixes, chai tea mixes, smoothie mixes, and more. MoCafé is known for using high-quality ingredients and creating products with unique and delicious flavor profiles. I personally enjoy their spiced Chai. It is a blend of black tea, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. The mix creates a special fragrance and flavor that is rich and complex. As a home mixologist, this vibrant beverage can create a unique and harmonious taste with other syrups.

Iced Lavender Dirty Chai Latte

Dirty Chai? It may sound weird, but it is a popular coffee drink that combines espresso with spiced chai. The overall taste is creamy, sweet and a hint of bitterness from the espresso. With the blend of lavender, it creates an alluring balance of sweetness and bitterness.

Ingredients:

2 shots of Hot espresso

1/3 Cup of MoCafe Spiced Chai

2 oz. Cold water

2 oz. Lavender Syrup

A glass of Ice

Directions:

  1. Mix the 1/3 cup of MoCafe Spiced Chai latte and 2 shots of hot espresso together. Stir until dissolved.
  2. Add 2 oz of cold water and lavender syrup to the dirty chai, blend well.
  3. Pour the drink over ice and enjoy it.

Strawberry Matcha Frappe

Matcha has a unique taste that is earthy and grassy with a subtle bitterness. Meanwhile, the taste of strawberry is sweet and slightly tart. When these two ingredients, Matcha with strawberries, collide with each other, it creates a delightful and surprising taste experience that is incredible and awesome.

Ingredients:

2 scoops (or 7Tbsp.) MoCafe Matcha Green Tea Frappe Mix

4 oz. Milk

2 oz. Strawberry Syrup

A glass of ice

Garnish

  • Whipped cream
  • Sliced Strawberry

Directions:

  1. In a blender, add 3 oz of milk and 2 scoops of Matcha Frappe Mix. Add half a glass of ice and blend well.
  2. In another blender, add 1 oz of milk, 2 oz strawberry syrup, and another half glass of ice. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the two smoothies into the cup accordingly and garnish with whipped cream and strawberry slices.
