How did the simple dirty soda become synonymous with TikTok and Instagram drink creations now posted by celebrities and influencers? A quick history lesson: the concept of dirty sodas originated in Utah around early 2010. Initially, this soda was mainly known amongst the Church of LDS where certain church health guidelines discouraged the consumption of alcohol, coffee, and tea. However, caffeinated sodas were accepted, bringing wind to the trend. The popularity of dirty sodas has since expanded beyond Utah to other states, in part to social media fueling its demand.
Today, dirty soda shops are found in several states, with even several chain restaurants and cafes following suit. As the trend continues to grow, there will be more fun and flavorful combinations to try over the traditional soda!

Although most popular dirty sodas utilize cola, we tried our own recipe twist, subbing flavored soda with club soda so that you can customize any flavor you want.
Make Your Own Dirty Soda!
You will Need:
Ice
8 oz. club soda
1 oz. Davinci Gourmet syrup (Any flavor such as cherry, raspberry, coconut, lime, pineapple)
1/2 oz. DaVinci Gourmet Sweet Cream Creamer
Add ice, soda, and syrup in the order listed in a 16oz. cup and stir until combined. Then, pour creamer on top of soda.
*For an even creamier twist, top off with whip cream and garnish with fruit slices or sprinkles!
*Note: If you prefer sweeter drinks, use 5oz. of sprite and 3 oz. of club soda instead of 8oz. club soda.
