This matcha tea powder is very fine and dissolves easily in liquid. It is so fast and easy it has replaced coffee for me. I just boil some water, add the powder, and I have instant tea in my to-go mug to last me through the work day. The powder is not pure matcha, but rather a blend that includes a creamer and mild sweetening. That means I don't have to take the time to add cream and sugar when I am rushing out the door to get to work on time. I went through an entire 2.2 lb bag by myself in less than 2 months. Matcha is superior to coffee in two ways: First, it tastes better. Coffee has a strong, bitter taste. Second, matcha gives you a slow release caffeine buzz, which means the caffeine boost lasts 6 to 8 hours before you start feeling flat again. That's a big improvement over coffee and other caffeinated beverages that give you a brief rush and then a big crash.
You can also use this powder in milk tea or smoothies, but if you are using it in this way you will have to add additional creamer or sweetener, as there is not very much in the powder itself. It is a very versatile powder, and I look forward to exploring ways to incorporate it into baked goods and other projects.
