Autumn is one of the most cherished seasons because the ambiance of it all. The crisp air, the foliage, the holidays, the flavors, every aspect draws people in. When we think about this beloved season, there’s one specific flavor that is guaranteed to come to mind. We all know fall is here once pumpkin spice starts overthrowing all menus at your favorite café, coffee bar, restaurant, etc.

However, there are other delectable flavors that have gone unnoticed due to the pumpkin craze. Branching out beyond pumpkin spice expands your palate and prevents you from having a basic fall menu.

Maple isn’t just good on pancakes or for breakfast. This underestimated flavor has evolved and is now being incorporated in sweets and even savory foods, such as salmon and chicken wings. Maple could also be the main seasoning on your turkey this Thanksgiving.
