Matcha has become a global beverage trend over the years years and is only gaining more popularity. This versatile flavor can go beyond being incorporated into drinks and could also be used to enhance desserts and other foods. With how much it’s evolved, there’s no signs of this craze slowing down any time soon.


What is Matcha?


Matcha comes from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis plant and is picked, steamed, then dried before oxidation occurs. Matcha is low in calories but high in antioxidants that support detoxification, reduce inflammation, and protect cells from damage that can lead to aging and disease.

Matcha Oreo Cheesecake


This no-bake matcha Oreo cheesecake is a perfect blend of sweet and earthy flavors. It’s also super simple to make, requiring no oven use. This cheesecake will be a delightful treat for the holidays and any other special occasions that may arise.


Equipment Needed:
• 8" Cake Pan
• Mixer
• Bowls


Ingredients:
For crust:
• 12 - 15 Oreos
• 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, Melted

For Mixture:
• 3 tbsp Tea Zone Matcha Green Tea Powder
• 1 cup Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
• 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
• 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt
• 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
• 3/4 tbsp Gelatin
• 2 tbsp Cold Water


Directions:
For crust:
1. Remove cream filling from the middle of the Oreos and place cookie parts into a Ziploc bag.
2. Crush Oreo cookie pieces until fine.
3. In a bowl, mix melted butter and crushed Oreos.
4. Add and press the crumbs down to the bottom of the cake pan.
5. Set aside in the refrigerator while prepping the cheesecake mixture.


For Mixture:
1. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, plain yogurt, heavy whipping cream, granulated sugar, and lemon juice together until creamy and smooth.
2. In a separate small bowl, stir the gelatin and cold water until there’s no dry clumps remaining. Once smooth, add into the cream mixture.
3. Add in Tea Zone Matcha Powder and mix until combined.
4. Take out Oreo crust from the fridge and layer the mixture on top.
5. Leave the cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 3 hours before serving.

Matcha Cupcakes

If you love cupcakes and sipping on matcha lattes, then this dessert is made for you. Bake them for your next gathering or birthday celebration and it’ll be a guaranteed favorite. Pair it with your favorite frosting to elevate the flavor of these delicious delights.

• Muffin Pan
• Cupcake Liners
• Mixer
• Sifter
• Bowls
• Cookie Scoop


Ingredients:
• 1 Large Egg
• 2 tbsp Tea Zone Matcha Green Tea (Grade A) Powder
• 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1 tsp Baking Powder
• 1 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
• 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
•1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
• 3/4 cup Buttermilk
•1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
• 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
• Frosting of Choice


Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F and line muffin pan with cupcake liners. Set aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix together buttermilk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
3. Sift Tea Zone Matcha Powder, flour, baking powder, and baking soda into a separate bowl. Add in sugar and salt then whisk until evenly dispersed.
4. Combine both dry and wet mixtures and mix until smooth.
5. Place batter into cupcake liners using cookie scoop to ensure batter is evenly spread.
6. Place tray into preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cupcakes comes out clean.
7. Let cupcakes cool before frosting and decorating them to your liking.


Matcha Mug Cake

This 6 ingredient matcha mug cake requires less than five minutes to prepare and cook. This cake satisfies those sweet tooth cravings without having the hassle of baking. Not only is it convenient, but it’s also delicious!

Ingredients:
• 1 tsp Tea Zone Matcha Green Tea (Grade A) Powder
• 4 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
• 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
• 1 tbsp Granulated White Sugar
• 3 tbsp Nonfat Milk (or Milk of Choice)
• 1/2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Directions:
1. Add Tea Zone Matcha (Grade A) Powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and granulated white sugar into a microwave-safe mug.
2. Stir until combined with no lumps remaining.
3. Add in milk of choice and vegetable oil, mixing in until smooth.
4. Cook for 1 minute and let cool before enjoying.
